ABOUT THE BOOK
Losing My Hair is the inspiring journey of a young, strawberry blonde woman, whose life is turned upside down and inside out when she is diagnosed with breast cancer. It is a story of survival, hope, strength, and most of all self-preservation and healing.
“Anyone who knows me knows how much I love Starbucks. I’ll find any excuse to go there, so it made perfect sense that we went to Starbucks for Mother's Day, May 2016. At that point, I was living a carefree, happy life. A week later I was diagnosed with breast cancer – and happened to be at Starbucks again.
As I sat watching my Frappuccino melt, it dawned on me that the only difference between this Starbucks visit and the previous one was my diagnosis. It was at that moment that I realised that having a lump in my breast didn’t define me.
My husband and I were determined to fight this head-on. We knew we would have to add chemotherapy into our daily lives for a while.
I chose to heal on every level, not just physically from cancer and the chemo, but mentally, emotionally and spiritually. I healed my mind, my heart and my soul.”
